FAQ

How long will it take to complete the repairs?

It really depends on the service. We try to complete most repairs the same day. Some larger repairs can take up to a few days. We offer rental cars for only $20 a day to help make the process as painless as possible.

My car is running rough. Do I need a tune-up?

Possibly. Engine tune ups are recommended every 80,000 - 100,000 miles. However, there are hundreds of reasons your car may be running abnormally. We will need to start with a proper diagnosis prior to doing any work to the vehicle.

Is there a charge to check out my car?

We like to start with a diagnosis / inspection for most issues. We charge $39.99 for simple issues, and $74.99 for more complicated issues. Sometimes we need to clear more time for testing, however we will contact you to get approval if this is necessary. We do not charge any diag fees for routine service / maintenance.

Do I need an appointment for a repair?

Yes. We operate on a first come / first serve basis. We typically have a 3 - 7 day wait period to get an appointment. If there is a special circumstance, just call us. We will try our best to accommodate your needs!

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept credit cards, cash, or cashier's checks. Unfortunately we no longer accept personal checks.

How often should I rotate my tires? How much air pressure do I need in my tires.

We recommend rotating your tires every other oil change. For most vehicles 35 psi is a good rule of thumb. There is normally a sticker on the driver side door jamb with factory recommended tire pressures for your vehicle.

What if I don't have the money to make the repairs right now?

We understand life happens and vehicle repair can be expensive. We will always give you our honest opinion about what needs to be done now, and what can wait. We do offer financing options if there are no other solutions.

What Should I Do When My Check Engine Lights Come On?

Is the vehicle running / driving like normal? If so, you are most likely safe to continue driving until we can look at it. If you hear abnormal noises, or the vehicle is feeling sluggish / ruining rough then is is advised to park the vehicle until we can look at it.

How Often Should I Have My Brakes Checked?

We recommend inspecting your brakes at every oil change interval.

Can I run E85 in my vehicle?

ONLY IF DONE CORRENTLY!

E85 is an alternative to gasoline. If your vehicle is E85 capable (or flex fuel) that means you can run either gasoline or E85. Most flex fuel capable vehicles have a yellow gas cap or will have a message on or near the fuel door / gas cap. HERE is the IMPORTANT thing to know about using E85. You must transition slowly between the two fuels. Start by mixing 1/2 a tank before switching. Sometime switching introduces problems and a "alcohol relearn" needs to be performed via a repair shop. We highly recommend sticking with one or the other and not switching back and forth.
